LimeLight Facial

Charlotte, Gastonia, and Shelby, NC

LimeLight Facial uses intense pulsed light to improve the appearance of brown spots, redness, telangiectasia (tiny veins), and enlarged pores. LimeLight Facial is a laser skin resurfacing option that has the advantage of causing little discomfort and no pain.

An Effective Treatment for Brown Spots and Surface Damage

If you have skin damage from sunlight exposure and aging LimeLight Facial may be the best solution for you. Before the LimeLight Facial, it was difficult to improve the appearance of brown spots. After being treated with LimeLight, these brown spots will lighten in color and become much less noticeable a few weeks after treatment.

LimeLight Facial can greatly improve the appearance of:

  • Redness
  • Brown spots
  • Tiny veins

In addition, LimeLight can greatly improve skin texture associated with sun damage and aging. In many cases, LimeLight can reduce the appearance of rosacea, although this condition cannot be completely eliminated by any laser treatment.

Quick, Painless Way to Improve Your Facial Appearance

Because LimeLight is non-ablative, there is minimal pain and discomfort in the procedure. Most patients describe a slight pinching sensation as the laser is passed over the surface of the face. The treatment requires no anesthesia or medication, but in some cases patients are provided with a cooling gel to lessen the sensation caused by the laser.

The amount of time it takes to complete your procedure depends on the extent of the treatment area. Generally, LimeLight Facials take less than an hour. Immediately after the treatment, you may experience some redness. The irritation will disappear in the hours following LimeLight, and it is perfectly safe to use makeup immediately after the treatment. You may have to receive several LimeLight Facial treatments for optimal results. You can also use LimeLight Facial in combination with other skin care treatments.

In the months following your first series of LimeLight Facials, you may notice a reappearance of brown spots, redness and tiny veins as you continue to undergo additional sun exposure. This recurrence of skin problems will require additional LimeLight treatments.

Candidates for LimeLight Facial

If you have brown spots, telangiectasia, or facial redness, then you are a good candidate for LimeLight Facial; however, certain people should not get the LimeLight treatment. If you are not a candidate, our experienced staff can recommend an alternative solution to improve facial appearance, such as dermal fillers. LimeLight may not be the solution if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have a skin infection
  • Have been exposed to excessive sunlight
  • Have had an artificial tan (spray or light-based) in the four weeks prior

In addition, tattooed areas cannot be effectively treated with the LimeLight laser.
