What a Forehead Lift Can Do

Brow Lift Procedure

When you come to Southeastern Plastic Surgery for a forehead lift, your procedure is performed in our private AAAASF-certified surgical center.

Once comfortable, your surgeon will make the necessary surgical incision or incisions. The length and number of incisions depends on the type of brow lift being performed. After the incision has been made, your forehead skin is lifted, muscles and tissue are repositioned, and your eyebrows are lifted to conform to the natural contours of your face. Excess skin is then removed before your skin is firmed and the incision is sutured.

Surgical bandages will be applied to the incision area after your surgery. These bandages may need to be worn for up to two days to ensure against excessive bleeding and infection.

Healing Time and Final Results

Some discomfort and swelling is to be expected in the first few weeks after your surgery. Your surgeon can prescribe medications to help you deal with this mild pain. Most patients are able to resume normal activities within ten days. Strenuous exercise should be avoided for about one month to reduce complications.
