Dermal Fillers
Charlotte, Gastonia, and Shelby, NC
For patients who want to enhance the youthful appearance of their facial features without the use of invasive procedures like face lift, dermal fillers are a wonderful option. Dermal fillers are injected just underneath your skin to add volume and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and even scars. Dermal fillers can also be used to augment your lips for a plumper, more feminine appearance.
Types of Dermal Fillers
At Southeastern Plastic Surgery, we offer five clinically proven dermal fillers. We offer:
- Juvéderm – a smooth-gel filler made from hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is biocompatible, meaning it requires no skin testing and is extremely well tolerated by most patients. Juvéderm instantly smoothes away wrinkles with one simple treatment. Best of all, results can last for up to one year.
- Restylane – a filler made of non-animal based hyaluronic acid. Because the hyaluronic acid in Restylane is not derived from animal sources, the risks of allergic reaction are significantly decreased. Restylane immediately reduces lines around the nose and mouth. Dermal filler procedures performed with Restylane generally produce results for around six to twelve months.
- Perlane – like Juvéderm and Restylane, Perlane is a filler made from hyaluronic acid. Perlane is more effective at reducing deep lines and wrinkles than other types of dermal fillers.
- Radiesse – a filler made from synthetic microspheres of calcium hydroxylapetite. Radiesse is hypoallergenic and produces amazing results in lip augmentation. Radiesse may cause pain and swelling in the injection site, but this is very temporary. Results from a Radiesse injection can last up to three years.
- Sculptra – a filler made of synthetic poly L lactic acid. Unlike other dermal fillers, the results from a Sculptra treatment are gradual, and may require more than one application to produce optimal results. Sculptra is best for patients who wish to augment their cheeks and lower jaw without an invasive surgical treatment.
During your free consultation, we will assess the depth and length of your wrinkles, and provide you with the option that will most restore youth and beauty to your skin.
